City of Ellsworth


In response to the recent health concerns pertaining to the COVID-19 virus, The City of Ellsworth will be making the following changes effective immediately:

*City Hall will be closed to the public.  All utility payments may be made by way of the payment drop box located on the front door.  This will be checked periodically through the day.  Should you need further assistance, please contact City Hall at 515-836-4751 to make arrangements.

*Ellsworth Public Library closed.

*Bingo cancelled until at least April 4th.

*Special council meeting and public hearing scheduled for March 30 is now cancelled.

Access to City buildings will be denied to the public.  This includes: the *community center and *gym, the *enclosed shelter house, the *water plant and the *fire station.  If you currently have a key for these buildings, we ask that you not use them until at least April 1, 2020.  Any current rentals for the gym and shelter house before April 1st 2020 will need to be rescheduled.  This can be done by calling 515-836-4751.
